If you want that cool crisper feel that you get with this squared weave this is the fabric to choose. This weave effect is generally labelled “Percale” to distinguish it from satin weaves. In fact, all high count fabrics are percale but the way the threads are woven has a huge impact on the final effect. So called satin fabrics like Ravello are not satin, they are satin weave cotton, and it is the overlapping of the threads which creates the stunning sheen effect, particularly impressive when it catches the light.

However, some prefer a flatter effect and handle and that is what this Ravenna fabric achieves.

It is 300 count with evenly matched threads in both the warp and the weft, so still an incredibly luxurious feel, but without the sheen.

Slightly more expensive because slower to weave, but definitely worth the investment. Available in white or ivory only.
